Professor Anne-Wil Harzing, Associate Dean (Research)

Anne-Wil is Professor in International Management in the Department of Management and Marketing within the Faculty. Before joining University of Melbourne she worked at the University of Bradford (UK), Maastricht University, the University of Tilburg, and the Open University (all in the Netherlands, her country-of-origin). Anne-Wil's research interests include international HRM, expatriate management, HQ-subsidiary relationships, cross-cultural management, transfer of HRM practices, the role of language in international business, the international research process, and the quality and impact of academic research.

Anne-Wil has published or presented more than 150 books, book chapters, and academic papers about these topics in journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Management International Review, International Business Review, Journal of World Business, European Journal of International Management, Journal of Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Organization Studies, Strategic Management Journal, The Academy of Management Learning & Education, European Journal of Information Systems, and Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology.

Anne-Wil is Associate Editor for the International Journal of Cross Cultural Management and is on the editorial board of Journal of International Business Studies, Management International Review, International Business Review, Thunderbird International Business Review, European Journal of International Management, Human Resource Management, European Management Review, and The International Journal of Management Reviews.
