Alumni Reception in Bangkok
Dr Andre Sammartino from the Department of Management and Marketing is delighted to invite you to an alumni event in Bangkok on Tuesday 10 January hosted by the Faculty of Business and Economics.
Dr Sammartino is accompanying a group of business and economics students undertaking the two-week Global Consulting Project subject in Bangkok. Interaction with alumni is a highlight of the programme for these students. As such, your attendance would be very valuable.
Dr Sammartino will make a short presentation highlighting current research on the value of international, cross-cultural work engagements on the competencies of students, graduates and executives. This includes some data drawn from previous cohorts of the Global Consulting Project. The presentation acknowledges in particular the crucial role that company hosts play in advancing students personal and professional development.
At this alumni reception, you will have the opportunity to:
- meet other alumni living and working in Bangkok;
- hear from current students about global study opportunities offered by the Faculty, such as the Global Consulting Project;
- make new connections and network with like-minded professionals, including representatives from the companies hosting this year's practicums; and
- act as an alumni ambassador to current students.
For recent graduates, this is a valuable opportunity to start establishing networks in the business community with fellow alumni.
